SISTER ACT
This is a zombie movie based on a video game. There isn't much plot, just blood. Aya (bikini girl on cover) and her half sister Saki (school girl outfit) go after the Himiko, the zombie leader. Saki co-operates with Himiko so she can resurrect her dead parents.
The zombies are of various degrees with Himiko looking and talking like a normal person. Most are foot dragging zombies who suddenly engage in various marshal arts when they attack. Aya goes into a berserker mode when she gets blood on her, although she is covered with dried blood for much of the film. The sword play and blood splatter had that "Kill Bill" feel to it, but in all honesty the movie doesn't measure up.

Zombies, Babes And Swimsuits...Sharp As a Sword and SEXY As HELL
Those who are familiar with "OneChanbara: Zombie Bikini Squad" the popular PS2/Xbox 360 video game in Japan would be familiar with "OneChanbara the movie" (2008, Hong Kong title: Chanbara Beauty) that starred bikini model Eri Otoguro. Well, this next movie isn't exactly a sequel but rather another interpretation of the video game. "OneChanbara 2: Vortex" (Hong Kong title: Chanbara Beauty: Vortex) has the same characters but a very different story from the first film. It now stars top pin-up model sexy Tejima Yuu as Aya, Akari Ozawa as Saki and hottie Rika Kawamura as Reiko. So do I have your attention yet?
In a post apocalyptic future when zombies dominate the Earth, Aya (Tejima Yuu) and Saki (Akari Ozawa) are two young women from the almost extinct Imichi clan. They travel Japan killing as many of the undead as they possibly can but it seems like there is no end in sight for their fight and they seemed destined to fight forever. Aya vs. zombies- round 2
Ok-5 stars? Really? This action/adventure film may not be for everyone but if you have seen Onechanbara (4 star) then you definitely want to see this one. The movie is a sequel but also rewrites the first one as two characters that died are now alive and well without any explanation (alternate timeline?). The plot- Four scientists played with a virus that went awry and caused the whole zombie outbreak. Two of the scientists were the parents of Aya and Suki and were killed in the initial outbreak. The third was the evil scientist/villain that was killed off in the first film. The fourth is revealed in this film to be Himiko, a female scientist who wants to rule in this apocalyptic world with serum that somehow gives zombies a limited form of intelligence back but follows her orders. Aya sets out to stop this crazy woman while younger sister Suki aids Himiko in the hopes of resurrecting her parents.
